In recipes passed down, dances in the kitchen, and the familiar taste of home, we see the value of anything homemade. In it, we honor what has come before us and what will come after. The homemade series is a personal challenge to reflect, repurpose, and reconnect. I dug through family and personal archives (grainy photos, pre-me photo albums, all or it) to create something new out of what’s always been there.

In my 2026 solo show, homemade at BXposure, I experimented with film soup (made with ingredients made, grown, or created in The Bronx such as beer, honey, snow, and weed) to create a visual narrative on what it means to be home. Click here for a look into the process.
