she/her
Food writer and artist.
I am a Puerto Rican and Peruvian writer + artist born, raised, and based in the Bronx. I’ve worked as a food educator, line cook, and community organizer in NYC.
My work examines the intersection of food and culture, especially in the Bronx and Latinx communities. For Edible Bronx, I profiled a vegan restaurant. For Bon Appétit, I wrote a love letter to sazon and adobo and shared my coveted Tallarines Verdes recipe. For Vocal, I documented veganism in the Bronx. My food art series leftovers is an ongoing examination of current events and my reality.
In 2023, I was an Artist-In-Residence on Governor’s Island through BronxArtSpace. I was a featured artist in the group show, Ancestral Foods: Family Feasts, at BronxArtSpace.
In 2024, my debut solo show leftovers was on view at Casita Maria Gallery from March 21 to August 16, 2024. Learn more about the exhibition.
